Downtown Brooklyn Partnership is now accepting applications for the Make It in Brooklyn Climate Tech Pitch Contest, a competition supporting emerging companies developing innovative solutions to climate and environmental challenges.
Climate tech startups will have the opportunity to pitch their product to a panel of industry experts, investors, and ecosystem leaders while competing for up to $10,000 in funding and commercialization support.
Prize Structure
The winning startup will receive:
- A $5,000 unrestricted cash prize from Downtown Brooklyn Partnership
- Up to an additional $5,000 in milestone-based commercialization support through the National Grid Clean Tech Incubation Grant
Eligible reimbursement activities may include:
- Prototype development
- Market research
- Patent filing support
- Commercialization consulting
- Product testing and validation
Who Should Apply
We encourage applications from startups working in:
- Climate resilience
- Carbon reduction technologies
- Sustainable infrastructure
- Circular economy solutions
- Clean mobility
- Energy efficiency
- Urban sustainability
- Environmental monitoring and analytics
Eligibility
