The world’s biggest soccer tournament has arrived, and Downtown Brooklyn is celebrating in style. This week, Brooklyn Commons Park transforms into Downtown Brooklyn’s Soccer Village — two afternoons of outdoor match screenings, music, food, games, and giveaways in the heart of the neighborhood.

Tuesday, June 16: Doubleheader Watch Party + Beer garden

Catch France vs. Senegal at 3pm, then stay for Iraq vs. Norway at 6pm at the best outdoor soccer watch party in Downtown Brooklyn.

Between goals, grab a cold drink at the Sound + Fury pop-up bar and soak up the high-energy festival atmosphere all afternoon. Brooklyn FC — Brooklyn’s premier soccer club — will be on hand with fun activities, DJ modrums has the tunes, and Brooklyn French Bakers will honor Team France with a giveaway of Brooklyn’s best cookies.

Wednesday, June 17: Family Afternoon at the kids’ Soccer Village

The party continues with an after-school afternoon built for families. Join the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Brooklyn Bridge Parents for soccer-themed crafts, goal-shooting activities, DUPLO LEGO play, foosball tables, live screen printing, and more — and catch the England vs. Croatia match at 4pm on the big screen. DJ Mike will keep the tunes going between matches.
