Emergence

Emergence will be on exhibit from November 17th – January 10th, with the opening reception on Wednesday, November 18th!

A flock of birds, a forest ecosystem, a language, or a community cannot be fully explained by studying a single component in isolation. Approaching questions of identity, ecology, memory, labor, and transformation from a distinct perspective, this group of artists examine personal narrative through craft practices tied to exploration of that narrative. Their works create an ecosystem of ideas in which individual voices remain while contributing to a larger meditation on our existence and its impact on the world around us. Uniting Erica Lord, Genevieve Howard, Marcy Chevali, Sulo Bee, Susie Ganch, Valerie Ho, and Veronika Fabian in exhibition, Emergence creates a visual dialogue that highlights the many ways in which we intertwine with one another and our surroundings.
