Join Capicu! NYC, NuevaYorkinos, MoCADAfor an evening celebrating the stories, sounds, and traditions that shape New York’s Latine, Caribbean, and African diasporic communities.

The night begins with a conversation on cultural memory, community archives, and the role of institutions in preserving the histories of New York. Moderated by Jeary Payne, Associate Educator at The Met, the panel features Djali Brown-Cepeda, Founder and Curator of NuevaYorkinos, and Amy Andrieux, Executive Director and Chief Curator of MoCADA.

Following the conversation, the evening continues with domino games, a community installation, and music by Lobby resident DJ WOOF and MAMICANA.
