Build your Own Subway Car in Movers and Makers: Family Tour and Workshop
Build Your Own Subway Car — a special hands-on workshop with QuietGround Learning
After touring the New York Transit Museum’s collection of historic and modern subway cars, families head to the workshop to build their own wooden model train inspired by what they’ve just seen. Working with real materials and real tools (wood, screws and screwdrivers, some light hammering, and paint), each participant designs and constructs a car of their own, drawing on details from the collection. The resulting trains will be compatible with Brio wooden train tracks.
Quietground Learning designs hands-on enrichment centered on craftsmanship, focus, and fair play — structured, screen-free making that welcomes every learner, including neurodiverse students and those with sensory sensitivities.
