Join the Library for Arts & Culture for giveaways, bookish crafts, and community shared reading. Get to know the 2026 Brooklyn Public Library Book Prize shortlist and mingle with fellow readers in anticipation of the Shortlist Readings on Friday, September 25th at the Central Library, Dweck Center.

Together, attendees will explore the themes community, belonging, and place-making that emerge from this year’s shortlist: What or where is home? How has that changed over the course of your life? Activities include:
