Downtown Brooklyn Partnership is excited to announce its upcoming Make It in Brooklyn Ag Tech Pitch Contest. We are seeking innovative startups that develop cutting-edge technologies to address critical challenges in modern agriculture—from precision farming and crop monitoring to sustainable irrigation, soil health management, and farm automation. 

The Make It in Brooklyn Ag Tech Pitch Contest aims to spotlight and support early-stage companies working on working on agricultural technology solutions that enhance productivity, optimize resource use, and promote environmental sustainability. This event provides a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas, gain exposure, and compete for funding to accelerate their ventures. 

What we’re looking for:  

  • Groundbreaking ideas in agricultural technology from local startups 
  • Solutions addressing challenges in farming practices, supply chain efficiency, food security, or agribusiness operations 
  • Innovative concepts leveraging emerging technologies such as IoT sensors, AI-powered analytics, robotics, vertical farming systems, or biotechnology 
  • Products or services with the potential to make a significant impact on agricultural productivity, sustainability, and the broader ag tech industry 

How to apply: 

Apply by Saturday, February 28, 11 PM, for a chance to become a finalist at the MIIB Ag Tech Pitch Contest. Five finalists will pitch their ideas for the chance to win $5,000 to accelerate their ag tech venture.   

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Pre-seed, seed-stage, or Series A funded company 
  • Product or service must revolve around Agriculture Technology (including but not limited to precision agriculture, farm management software, agri-robotics, or controlled environment agriculture) 
  • Company must have fewer than 20 employees 
  • Company must be based in NYC
