Program Overview

Showcase your business with high-visibility street banners throughout Downtown Brooklyn. This program allows businesses in Downtown Brooklyn to promote their brand while contributing to the vibrancy and beautification of the neighborhood on some of the busiest corridors of NYC, including the avenues leading to the Brooklyn + Manhattan bridges.

Our 2026 banner design is inspired by the newest Asphalt Art designs by Carla Torres.

Banner Sponsor Program | Policies + Procedures

Selection + Purchasing

The 2026 Banner Program map shows locations of promotional street poles. Our team can help identify locations as availability is subject to change.

  • Competitor considerations: banners can be purchased at any available location, but placing directly in front of a competitor’s storefront is discouraged
  • Priority + reservations: generally first-come, first-served, through certain locations may be held-prioritized for:
    • Banner Sponsors purchasing 10+ banners
    • Businesses with poles directly in front of their building/storefront
    • Specific organizational needs

  • Minimum installation quantity: banners installed in batches of 20+; missing the sales window means waiting for the next campaign (unless combined sponsor interest reaches 20+ banners, in which case banners may run for a shortened duration since all are refreshed together)

Timeline, Production + Installation

  • Installation timing: ~6weeks with estimated installation contingent on approval from NYC DOT
  • Sponsors should share a high-resolution logo with DBP upon ordering for proofing; returning sponsors will be asked to confirm if their logo on file is still current

Pricing

  • Standard: $650 per banner / 6 months
  • Larger purchases will be discounted

Banner Management + Lifespan

  • Campaign duration: banners remain up for approximately 6 months unless otherwise specified and may be removed at any point after the stated period, though sometimes stay up longer
  • DOT-related removals or obstructions: DOT may reclaim/deem a pole unusable (e.g., police cameras, traffic equipment, construction scaffolding); DBP and Intersection aren’t automatically notified
    • Sponsors should notify DBP if their banner is removed, blocked, or affected — no refunds issued in these cases
    • If reinstallation is requested, sponsor covers the cost; DBP charges only the reprint cost
  • Special events: DOT may temporarily remove/relocate banners for events (e.g., NYC Marathon, holiday lights); Intersection will attempt to relocate nearby and reinstall at the original location afterward
  • Damage or maintenance: sponsors encouraged to report downed/damaged banners to DBP; typically addressed within a few days by Intersection or DOT
  • Fly-offs: banners may rarely detach/become unidentifiable due to severe weather or wind tunnel effects
    • DBP, Intersection, and DOT are not financially responsible
    • Fly-off banners are not automatically replaced
    • If replacement is requested, sponsor covers reprint cost

Renewals

  • DBP reaches out to existing sponsors first when planning the next campaign to gauge renewal interest
  • This outreach is a courtesy only and does not create a contractual right of first refusal
  • DBP reserves discretion to remove, relocate, or modify banner locations based on DOT guidance, feedback, or regulatory requirements
