Downtown Brooklyn Bigbelly® Advertising Program

Program Overview

Showcase your business with high-visibility advertisements throughout Downtown Brooklyn on our network of BigBelly trash/recycling units. This program allows businesses in Downtown Brooklyn to promote their brand while contributing to the vibrancy and beautification of the neighborhood on some of the busiest corridors of NYC.

Our 2026 design is inspired by the newest Asphalt Art designs by Carla Torres.

 

What is a Bigbelly?

A Bigbelly is a trash and recyclables receptacle that uses a solar panel to power a compactor that crushes trash as it’s deposited – letting each unit hold roughly five times more waste than a standard bin.

They also do double duty as excellent advertising opportunities on their large, flat exterior panels!

Businesses and organizations located in Downtown Brooklyn who would like to be recognized as proud members of the Downtown Brooklyn community!

Bigbelly Program | Policies + Procedures

The Bigbelly map shows locations of available units. Our team can help identify locations as availability is subject to change.

  • Competitor considerations: Bigbelly ads can be purchased at any available location, but placing directly in front of a competitor’s storefront is discouraged
  • Priority + reservations: generally first-come, first-served, though certain locations may be held/prioritized for:
      • Organizations purchasing 10+ ads
      • Businesses with Bigbellys directly in front of their building/storefront
      • Specific organizational needs

Timeline, Production + Installation

Pricing

  • 1 Unit: $550/month
  • 5 Units: $525/month
  • 10 Units: $500/month
  • 25+ Units: $450/month

Management + Lifespan

  • Campaign duration: ads remain in place for the contracted campaign length unless otherwise specified and may be removed at any point after the stated period, though sometimes stay up longer
  • Damage or maintenance: if reinstallation is requested, sponsor covers the cost; DBP charges only the reprint cost

Renewals

  • DBP reaches out to existing sponsors first when planning the next campaign to gauge renewal interest
  • This outreach is a courtesy only and does not create a contractual right of first refusal
  • DBP reserves discretion to remove, relocate, or modify Bigbellys based on operational or regulatory requirements
