The holiday season has arrived, and with it comes a wide variety of festivities to get you immersed in the holiday spirit. The December, the neighborhood is home to holiday concerts, markets, discounts and deals, and more. Here are just a few of the ways you can make the most of Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or whatever you celebrate, right here in Downtown Brooklyn:

Holiday Caroling on the Plaza: Join Mark Morris Dance Group on The Plaza at 300 Ashland on Sunday, December 11! Bring the family to welcome the holiday season with a medley of your favorite holiday carols. Class will be accompanied by a pianist for an extra layer of holiday pizzazz. Register.
The Brooklyn Nutcracker: Brooklyn Ballet’s The Brooklyn Nutcracker fuses ballet, hip-hop, and an array of world dance genres to create a culturally inclusive production that represent the diverse traditions and vibrant culture of melting pot Brooklyn. In essence, the show is a Christmastime love letter to the city’s best borough. Get tickets for The Brooklyn Nutcracker on Saturday, December 17 — showtimes are available at 2:00 and 7:00 PM.
Borough Hall Holiday Market: Browse more than 50 Brooklyn-based artisans, food and beverage operators, and vintage and antique vendors at Urbanspace’s first Borough Hall Holiday Market. The Market is open every day from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM until December 26, so you have plenty of time to check it out and get yourself or a loved one a unique on-of-a-kind trinket of appreciation. Holiday Workshops at City Point BKLYN: A number of arts-and-craftsy workshops are coming to City Point BKLYN this month! Sign up to make a gingerbread house, an ugly holiday sweater, a papercraft Froebel star, puppets, or ornaments during this year’s Makers Show Holiday Market.
caribBEING Holiday Market: caribBEING is a unique and inspired multipurpose mobile art, cultural, and market space that reflects the cultural heritage of Brooklyn’s Caribbean Diaspora.
