Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in Downtown Brooklyn!
Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Here in Downtown Brooklyn, there are plenty of ways to support Asian-owned businesses and support some of the folks who help make our district come to life!

If you’re looking for a quick bite during the day, there are plenty of Asian eateries to keep you going, like the brand new Teppan Territory in DeKalb Market Hall serving up Japanese food, the classic Xi’an Famous Foods on Willoughby (try the spicy lamb burger) or authentic Xifu Food on Livingston.
Feeling thirsty? Fret not. Hawa King Smoothies has everything from avocado smoothies (a Vietnamese classic) to mango papaya smoothies. Coffee lovers, embrace Coffee Project NY, a Malaysian-owned coffee store that pours specialty coffee, located in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District on Rockwell Place. White Noise Coffee Co on Smith Street also serves up a highly sought-after flat white.
If you want to enjoy the luxury of eating a meal indoors, try Han Dynasty or 100% Mr Lin for Chinese or Thank You Come Again for a variety of Asian food in City Point. For a spice kick, check out newly opened Thai Tai Eatery on Willoughby or Charm Kao on Schermerhorn.
For bubble tea lovers, Gong Cha has a variety of different flavors and toppings you can choose from (we recommend caramel milk tea with crystal pearls!). The popular chain Moge Tee is also coming to the neighborhood — keep your eye out for them on Lawrence Street! You can also get bubble tea at Hawa King Smoothies.
Of course, we didn’t forget international fried chicken chain BonChon! Their double fried chicken will have you wanting more. Korean eatery KUUN also serves up delicious drinks and kimbap alongside a delicious seafood pancake on Livingston.
Happy AAPI month! Tag us on social media and show us how you’re supporting these businesses!
