#DTBKatHome: Earth Day
Now you can experience Downtown Brooklyn programming from home!
Celebrate Earth Day!
For Earth Day’s 50th anniversary, we’re bringing the programming originally planned for Albee Square into your homes. Have your own virtual Earth Day celebration with #DTBKatHome!
On Earth Day, our neighbors at Fort Greene Park hosted a family-friendly concert with award-winning singer/songwriter Esther Crow. Watch it here!
Materials for the Arts teaches the value of creative reuse by supplying donated materials for art making. Take your pick of activities: wander their virtual gallery of artists, or visit their Online Education Center for creative projects, lesson plans, and even virtual field trips. Create your own sustainability practice with your creativity!
Although Bike New York won’t be staging its learn-to-ride classes on Albee Square West this year, you can still learn via these tutorials - whether you’re an adult or a kid. Their Recycle-A-Bicycle Clinton Hill location remains open as an essential business, providing bike maintenance services to individuals performing critical work. Learn more here.
Enjoy! Please send us pictures of you doing any/all of these #DTBKatHome activities and tag us to be entered to win a special eco-friendly gift. Happy Earth Day!
