Welcome Back Brooklyn Summer Wednesdays: Cut the Salt/Curb the Sugar
Brooklyn is back! Celebrate the re-opening of Brooklyn every Wednesday at Brooklyn Borough Hall Plaza!
Each Wednesday features fun and unique activations of the plaza, including (but not limited to) cooking demos, health fairs, giant-sized board games, live music, and back-to-school parties. Come with friends and family — there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Here’s the schedule:
• July 21- Welcome Back Brooklyn Summer
Activities: Brooklyn Cyclones Mascot Sandy the Seagull, Brooklyn Nets Team Hype, Batala NYC, and giant board games.

• July 28 - Cut the Salt/Curb the Sugar
Activities: Plant Powered Metro NY will feature a cooking demo by Chef Jillian Mariscal
(Rain date: July 29)
• August 4 - “Brooklyn Calm”
Activities: Yoga and meditation with Sheree Sophas, Surreal Serenity LLC. Bring your own yoga mat!
(Rain date: August 5)
• August 11 - Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium
Activities: Live music performed by the all-star trio jazz band
(Rain date: August 12)
• August 18: Healthy Brooklyn
Activities: Health fair — COVID-19 vaccines will be offered!
(Rain date: August 19)
• August 25: Opera on Tap
Activities: Taking opera and classical music out of the concert hall and performing it at the Plaza.
(Rain date: August 26)
• September 1: Back-to-School
Activities: A delight for families and students re-entering the school year. Come for giant board games and other kid-friendly funstuffs.
