Free legal assistance for small businesses - Virtual CUBE Consultation Center
Thursday, Oct. 29 | 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Brooklyn Law School (BLS) and the Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship (CUBE), in conjunction with the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership (DBP), are offering the virtual CUBE Legal Consultation Center for FREE 30-minute legal consultations from practicing attorneys, Brooklyn Law School faculty and students.
If you are a small business owner seeking legal advice in areas such as commercial/office leasing, incorporation, intellectual property, insurance concerns, risk management (generally), employment law, please sign-up for a legal consult with BLS alum attorneys and up to three students.
Consults are brief “legal pit stops” where participants tell their stories and can ask general questions about start-up issues, or ask specific questions about rights in a given contract, transaction, or regulatory
process. Attorneys are free to provide advice as they see fit based on the interview with the participant and participant questions. Up to three student observers may collect information and possibly ask questions, depending on instructions from the attorney. Consults will be scheduled according to each attorney’s area of expertise (e.g. participants with intellectual property questions will be directed to an attorney with knowledge in that area).
Please register to set up an appointment, including details on your business and the sort of legal topics that you would like to address in your consultation.
