Bobby Spellman’s Revenge of the Cool Nonet was originally formed in 2009 to play the timeless classics from Birth of the Cool. Since then, the group has evolved to play Spellman’s eclectic original music for the unique instrumentation as well as new arrangements of the music of Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, Radiohead, and others.
