Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival (Day 4): BAMkids Family Day + Soul Summit Dance Party

The Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival (DBAF) is an annual celebration of Downtown Brooklyn’s cultural community and the artists, writers, and performers who inspire the borough’s creative spirit.
Saturday is BAMkids Family Day, with performances, interactive workshops, and local talent, including Lucy Kalantari & the Jazz Cats!, Feet of Rhythm Kids, Brooklyn United, and Brown Rice Family. Festivities are emceed by BAM teaching artists Kimani Fowlin and Farai Malianga.
Saturday evening marks the end of DBAF with festival and Downtown Brooklyn favorites, Soul Summit, spinning old-school house music on The Plaza.
The 2021 Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival will take place from Wednesday, September 22 to Saturday, September 25. Acclaimed arts organizations across the Brooklyn Cultural District will share both virtual and in-person programming with exciting performances, workshops, classes, talks, films, family programming, and exhibitions. Every evening during the festival, The Plaza at 300 Ashland will have exciting activations, ranging from performances to dance parties.
