Demo Kitchen: Soul Nourishment with Junior Mintt
Do you remember the first time you ate a meal and realized how much the chef loved you? Do you remember the first time you didn’t just “cook some food,” but you “prepared a meal”?
Through the power of conversation, music, poetry, and drag performance, together we will discuss the love and community that is created through food. Junior Mintt invites you to celebrate and rejoice in Black Trans Power while interrogating the meaning of soul food as an integral part of her identity. So, while we’re filling our stomachs we’ll also be filling our souls. Can’t make it tonight? This program will also be presented on Thursday, September 30.
Demo Kitchen happens in September and October. Upcoming dates:
• October 3 | Tables of Contents Presents: Food for Thought with Alexandra Kleeman
