An Afternoon of Mozart, Beethoven, & Wagner
The Brooklyn Metro Chamber Orchestra continues its exciting seventeenth season with a matinee of Mozart, Beethoven & Wagner on Sunday, February 9, 2020, 4 pm in the sanctuary of St. Ann & the Holy Trinity, 157 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. BMCO remains Brooklyn’s only resident professional orchestra.
The program opens with Mozart’s Symphony No. 25 in g minor. Joining BMCO is the young American virtuoso Maryam Raya for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 25 in c minor. Having recently made her Carnegie Hall debut, Ms. Raya’s dazzling technique will be on full display.
Also joining Maestro Nuzzo is dramatic soprano Anastasiya Roytman in Beethoven’s concert aria “Ah, Perfido!” Ms. Roytman and the BMCO then conclude the program with the iconic Prelude and Liebestod from Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde.
