Deciding Brooklyn’s Future: A Forum With Elected Officials

Join BRIC as a panel of North & Central Brooklyn community leaders discuss our borough’s most pressing challenges and opportunities with their City Councilmembers. This will be a moderated conversation on the key issues impacting Brooklyn: affordability, housing, immigration, mental health and community safety.

These issues have come up again and again over the last 3 years in Brooklyn Org’s Neighborhood Listening Tours, and in the recent 5BORO Institute People’s Pulse, a survey designed to provide critical insights for community groups, elected officials, and candidates to better understand and respond to local needs. The panel conversation will be moderated by BKO President & CEO Dr. Jocelynne Rainey and BRIC President Wes Jackson, and is part of BKO & BRIC’s ongoing commitment to uplifting community voices and deepening civic engagement across the borough.
