SUMMARY:I’m Almost There
DESCRIPTION:Love at first sight is easy… letting it through the front door is a freaking Odyssey. \nAll he wants to do is let the perfect man in. But can he overcome his unhinged neighbor\, a seductive cult\, a self-obsessed vampire\, and a cat intent on dragging him to hell? \nWritten and performed by Todd Almond (Girl from the North Country\, Gossip Girl) and directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer (Good Night\, and Good Luck; The Band’s Visit)\, I’m Almost There is a rueful\, hilarious\, and poignant modern love story in song about a man crossing a sea of doubts to find happiness… and good coffee. Initially developed by the award-winning producers of Fleabag and Baby Reindeer\, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe hit comes to BAM for a three-week run ahead of a major US tour. \nJoined onstage by musicians Erin Hill (harp/vocals) and Noah Max Amick (bass)\, Almond weaves his deeply personal\, universally relatable songs into a luminous\, lyrical confession about fear\, longing\, and the courage it takes to let love in. It’s intimate yet epic and laugh-out-loud funny in all the places it hurts most. \nI’m Almost There was commissioned by Audible and first produced in Edinburgh and New York City by Audible\, Francesca Moody Productions\, and DryWrite.

The Spring residency will be held by Rasin Okan! \nThis residency honors the legacy of mizik rasin in Haiti and abroad and its role in collective storytelling. Rasin Okan will share popular folk songs from legends such as Lenord Fortune (a.k.a. Azor) and Jacques Fortere (a.k.a. SUMMARY:Slide Away Music Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:SLIDE AWAY music festival is coming to Brooklyn Paramount on May 15-16! \nThe festival that celebrates itself. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA genre that lends itself to loudness can still be overheard from its origins in the 1980s. Shoegaze\, Dream Pop\, Ambient\, or whatever you may call it\, has carried itself gracefully through decades while inspiring countless subgenres and infecting all walks of music along the way. \nThe audience reflects back the legacy and continued impact with a feeling of mutual admiration and respect is palpable across generations and identities – no matter the coast. \nSLIDE AWAY is a celebration of the genre and all artists who shape sound in the most unique of ways\, all the while bridging the gap between the diverse cast of boundary pushing mavericks of yesterday with the genre bending savants of now.
