Their sound is both intimate and expansive—grounded in lakou culture\, yet reaching across the diaspora—creating a musical space where heritage\, memory\, and innovation meet. \nTwoubadou Lakay’s Haiti Cultural Exchange residency will feature core members Bobby Raymond\, Markus Schwartz\, Gary Josama\, Gama Josama\, Joe Montour\, Camille Hostin and Roland Cameau in revolving formations. Twoubadou Lakay invites audiences into a living\, breathing experience of Haitian musical expression—honoring the past while shaping its future. \nTwoubadou Lakay’s five-week residency at HCX will feature unique performances weekly.

The gathering\, themed “Voicing Our Vision\,” will draw a direct link between cultural expression and social change. \nThe evening will feature two key highlights: \n\nA celebration of the Haitian Women’s Collective’s inaugural grants awarded through the Fund for Haitian Women\, the first and only grantmaking fund focused exclusively on supporting women-led organizations in Haiti.\nHaiti Cultural Exchange Vizyon Atistik exhibition will showcase works on paper by the incredible talent of Haitian women artists who uplift Haitian culture through the arts.\n\nHWC accelerates women-led local solutions in Haiti across sexual and reproductive health\, education\, climate justice\, and economic empowerment\, while HCX is dedicated to developing and promoting the cultural expressions of Haitian people.
