Downtown Brooklyn Partnership’s Make It in Brooklyn Renewable Energy Pitch Contest brings together innovative startups\, founders\, investors\, and industry professionals to spotlight the technologies shaping the next generation of energy systems.  \nSelected founders will pitch to a panel of expert judges\, who will evaluate each presentation based on criteria such as innovation\, feasibility\, market potential\, and impact. The winning startup will compete for up to $10\,000 in funding and commercialization support to help accelerate their path to market.  \nThe prize includes:  \nA $5\,000 unrestricted cash award from Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.  \nUp to an additional $5\,000 in milestone-based commercialization support through National Grid’s Clean Tech Incubation Program for eligible expenses including prototype development and testing\, patent and legal filing expenses\, market research\, commercialization activities\, and pilot implementation support.  \nFinalists:  \nAccord Power – Develops and deploys solar energy\, battery storage\, EV charging\, and microgrid solutions that help businesses and communities transition to clean\, reliable power.  \nEtherion Fuels – Produces next-generation renewable fuels from agricultural waste and plant-based feedstocks\, creating lower-carbon alternatives for transportation.   \nNovara Tech – Develops advanced materials recycling technology that recovers critical minerals from battery waste through a low-temperature process that reduces energy use and emissions.  \nLuxergy – Is developing a modular heat engine that converts clean heat from sources such as geothermal\, nuclear\, concentrated solar\, and thermal storage into affordable\, dispatchable electricity.  \nUrbanEx develops an AI-powered platform that helps utility-scale solar developers identify project risks early\, accelerating the development of renewable energy projects.  \nOur panel of judges includes:  \nJoe Silver\, NineDot Energy  \nIsabelle Branco-Lo\, NYSERDA  \nAustin Evarts\, Urban Future Labs  \nMatt Pfeiffer\, Vycarb  \nEmcee:  \nFarès Kammourieh\, Newlab  \nYour $5 ticket includes a refreshing drink and the opportunity to meet founders\, investors\, and industry leaders working at the forefront of renewable energy innovation.  \nRegister to attend.  \nAbout Make It in Brooklyn  \nMake It in Brooklyn is Downtown Brooklyn Partnership’s innovation platform supporting startups through pitch competitions\, ecosystem-building initiatives\, and direct entrepreneurial support programs.
